IWD 2022: South Asian Voices Event

Reflecting on IWD 2022: South Asian Voices Event

On March 8 we were joined by students, alumni, and faculty at our International Women's Day event where we heard from Professor Sangeeta Bhatia (M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering '97, MIT), Professor Priyamvada Natarajan (B.S. in Physics and B.S. Mathematics '91, MIT), Asha Aravindakshan (Master in Business Administration '17, MIT), Naksha Roy (B.S. in Chemical Engineering '22, MIT), and Jupneet Singh (B.S. in Chemistry '23, MIT). It was an inspiring and encouraging conversation, hearing perspectives from different South Asian Women represented at MIT. Read below for highlights from each of our speakers! The event was hosted by MIT-India, the MIT South Asian Alumni Association (MITSAAA), and the South Asian Association of Students (SAAS).
