The GSF Application Portal has opened on September 10th, 2024 and will close on December 10th, 2024.

MIT-Germany Lockheed Martin Seed Fund

Through an annual call for proposals, the fund promotes the exchange between faculty and students at MIT and at universities and public research institutions in Germany.

Proposals will fit within Lockheed Martin’s Global Strategy to promote international, collaborative research focused on but not limited to:

  • Autonomy and Robotics
  • Sensor Technology and Exploitation
  • Signal Processing and Communications
  • Data Analytics
  • Materials and Manufacturing
  • Advanced Electronics
  • Human Systems Training
  • Energy and Power

MIT-Germany University of Regensburg Seed Fund

This fund is part of the renewed MIT-Germany and University of Regensburg partnership and provides faculty and research scientists at both institutions the opportunity to jointly apply for seed grants. 

 All general Global Seed Funds criteria, application, and evaluation procedures apply.

$27,500

Priority will be given to projects that:

  • propose a balanced exchange between MIT and University of Regensburg participants
  • involve undergraduate and graduate students
  • open to all disciplines with a priority for humanities
  • demonstrate complementarity between the teams
